Repeated Payment Issue with Turkey e-Visa Application

Hi everyone,

I’m facing an issue with my Turkey e-Visa application and wanted to see if anyone else has experienced something similar or has advice on how to resolve this.

Here’s the situation:

I applied for a Turkey e-Visa and used the SOFORT payment option on their system.
After completing the payment, the system said "an error was encountered while processing your payment", but the amount was deducted from my bank account.
I contacted the e-Visa Support Team, provided my application reference number, and even proof of payment, but I keep receiving the same generic response from them:
"We cannot verify your payment. Please try making payment at another time. If you still have the same problem, try with another card issued by a different bank. Kindly make sure that the card is either 'Mastercard,' 'Visa,' or 'UnionPay' (it does not have to be under your name), it has 3D Secure System, and is open to international transactions. If the problem persists, you can contact your bank for assistance. Please do not start a new application unless we advise you to do so. In case you still cannot get through, kindly write back to us."

This response is frustrating, as I’ve already explained and provided proof that the payment was made. I haven’t made another payment, as their website advises against duplicate payments and states these won’t be refunded.

Has anyone encountered this issue or knows how to escalate it effectively? I’m concerned about delays and don’t want to risk losing my visa or having to pay twice.

Turkey Transit Visa or Evisa - Philippines

Is E-visa still allowed if I'm transiting to Istanbul for 4 hours? I have a flight from Manila to Berlin and someone told me that e-visa is no longer acceptable in the immigration. I only have 4 hours layover and I don't have enough time to apply for the actual visa.
